Care & Handling of Cashmere
Our products are made from natural cashmere, a particularly fine and high-quality natural fiber.
To ensure your product remains soft, beautiful and retains its shape for a long time, please observe the following instructions.
Wash
- Before washing, gently shake out the garment and smooth it out slightly.
- Hand washing recommended or gentle cycle (wool/silk) at max. 30 °C.
- Use only mild wool or cashmere detergent.
- Do not bleach or use fabric softener.
Dry
- Do not wring out after washing.
- Gently squeeze out excess water with a towel.
- Dry lying down, pull into shape
- Do not place on a radiator and do not dry in a tumble dryer.
This keeps the garment soft and retains its shape.
Iron
- If necessary, only at low temperature
- Best with steam and from the left
- Avoid direct, strong pressure.
storage
- Store in a clean and dry place
- Store folded in a cupboard (do not hang).
- Protect against moths, e.g. with lavender or cedarwood.
- Pack airtight when not in use for extended periods.
Natural properties of cashmere
Cashmere is a living natural fiber. Small balls of fiber (pilling) form, especially at the beginning, due to friction – this is not a sign of poor quality. Pilling can be carefully removed with a cashmere comb or by hand. With each wash, the material becomes softer and more supple.
